Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great Argentinian skirt steak! I visited in the afternoon, so it was a bit empty, but otherwise it’s a cute place, and service is pretty good."
"Can’t recommend Cedrón enough; excellent food, fantastic service and a really interesting wine list paired with the knowledgeable, consultative staff. A great experience, try them the next time you’re in Madrid! (Milanesa and the Poumanu from Marlborough in New Zealand)"
"First night in Madrid popped in for a dinner. Despite being the last clients we didn't feel rushed at all and the entire service was absolutely top notch. The woman who served us was sweet with a warm smile, and even handed us a list of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in Madrid, which has been very helpful for the rest of our trip. We picked a Spanish red wine which was really beautiful, light but still energetic. For the food, the croquette as an entrée was very creamy and I had the ox meatballs with mashed potatoes which was delicious and the quantity was perfect after having travelled all day. The Argentinian steak my partner took i would say cooked great and quite flavourful but not quite as tender as expected. Also superb atmosphere"
"It was so delicious that I can not describe! Cosy atmosphere, nice staff and great food. Thanks for the compliments - croquettes were Highly recommend this place! Especially want to mention that it's great that you can book the table directly from Google maps."
"Amazing food. A step away from tapas so make sure to have a good appetite coming here. The chef and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a starter and a main, all of which was so full of flavour and well cooked that we sat for a long time savouring the food. Their Cibeles beer was lovely also. If you are seeking a place to have the best of food for good prices, this is the place. Thanks, paul"
"An amazing experience. I recently moved to the area and my mother came to visit. Alex was an amazing server, pairing each course with the perfect wine and being kind enough to give me advice on where else to explore in my new neighborhood. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, all contained in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I will be coming back often with everyone who comes to visit me in Spain. It is rare to find a server like Alex, knowledge of wine and how to pair it with food while also being welcoming and kind… AMAZING!"
"Best croquettes of all my years of travels in Spain. The eggplant parmigiana was also amazing. The only disappointment was that not only were the pours of our red wines the most conservative we’d had in Madrid, but the neighbouring tables easily received 30% more in their glasses by both a different waiter and our own waiter. Not sure if the free liqueur shot was to compensate or just normal treatment."
"Amazing wine bar and grill, with ambient lighting, relaxing music, and a perfect lowkey vibe for friends, couples, or families looking for somewhere off the beaten track. The staff were more than accomodating, despite our lack of Spanish speaking skills, the serving staff who did speak English gave brilliant recommendations, and those who did everything they could to assist us and make us feel welcome. My favourite meal I had in Madrid and would recommend to anyone who wants to try some top quality affordable wines and some amazing steak, croquettes, and chocolate tort."
